ACTOR BIO
Jim Childs received his first theatrical review in the Pasadena Star-News, which described his portrayal of Mr. Paravicini as "sinister, sinister, sinister" in the highly acclaimed Agatha Christie murder-mystery The Mousetrap. He has continued to captivate audiences with his dynamic range and powerful performances on both stage and screen such as the leading title role of Gilbert & Sullivan's The Sorcerer and the insufferable Carter in Dennis E. Noble's A Game. Often known for specializing in eccentric and villainous roles, he has recently appeared in two psychological thrillers, has guest starred on television shows, and is currently hosting a horror-comedy series called The Super Shock Show.

Jim has studied the Yat Malmgren method at the Simon Adams Studios and is an alumnus of LACC's Theatre Academy where he was instructed under the tutelage of Jennifer Rountree and Fred Fate. His actor training also includes the Kristin Linklater theory and commedia dell'arte.

Raised in East Los Angeles and educated in New York City, his background extends to puppeteering, voice-over work, and he was a member of the Sam Donlavy Dance Company in Hollywood. And, while he enjoys meeting and working alongside new people throughout the country, he also seeks to draw much-needed attention to the local talent of Las Vegas as well as to provide support and help propel the filmmaking industry there.

PERSONAL ACTOR BIO
Jim Childs was born in Hayward, California after his father was killed in a tragic plane accident. A biracial Mexican-American, and the youngest of three children, he developed, like his father before him, a rich imagination, an affection for storytelling, and a vigorous spirit for adventure. It's not surprising then that he would be drawn to the world of entertainment, which provided an outlet to develop and exercise these attributes within himself at a young age.

Initially, he emersed himself in the theatre where he excelled in character parts such as the eccentric and highly energetic title role of Gilbert & Sullivan's The Sorcerer or as the mysterious and mischievous Mr. Paravicini in Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap. Whether in comedic or dark and ominous roles, Jim Childs utilized his theatrical training and experience to transition into film and television as witnessed in the psychological thriller Stuck, the sci-fi comedy series Captain Isotope & the Enemy of Space, and others.

Over time, he has expanded his creative reach to include voice-overs, puppetry, make-up, video editing, scriptwriting, and directing. He also hosts a horror series where he demonstrates all of these skills while being both funny and frightening. Because he has a fondness for working with a diverse group of individuals, and because of his devotion to storytelling, one of his current goals is to be part of an ensemble cast in an episodic television series.
